Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)

The Vehicle Damage Assessor [VDA] will inspect and assess all elements of a vehicle that has sustained damage and requires repair. Identifying and recording vehicle damage and determine which parts of the vehicle should be repaired. A VDA understands the process of assessing and costing the repair of a vehicle, having knowledge of all types of vehicles including petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid and being up to date of the ever-changing technological vehicle safety developments known as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), along with producing detailed repair specifications which are then used to carry out the required repair by the bodyshop.

The role of VDA involves interaction not only with the customer but with Bodyshop Managers, vehicle repair technicians, back office staff and insurance companies to discuss the assessment, damage to the vehicle and how it will be repaired.
