We Develop and Train

In the backdrop of current vehicle transformation, providing the right skilling opportunities to your workforce at the right time holds the key to the success of an organisation. Companies must ensure that they help employees grow professionally and personally in order to retain and engage them.

In an increasingly digital and electronic world, the "right" skills are the key to an individual's and an organisation's innovation, productivity, and growth. They lend an edge to the employees while improving their overall value to the organisation. On the other hand, a lack of skills may gravely impact employee engagement and, hence, retention.

Talent Connect run regular courses aimed at improving and developing the skills of the modern age. It’s not tough to understand the benefits of upskilling employees in the new world of employment, because the paybacks are immense. Those are:

1. Enhanced Productivity

Upskilling is of utmost importance because if employees are not on the same page as the organisation when it comes to technology, their productivity is bound to go down.

2. Employee Retention

"Around 60% of companies cannot find qualified candidates to fill open positions. In order to fill this gap and reach their full innovation capacity, organisations should instead focus on upskilling and re-training current workers." Companies that invest in upskilling initiatives for their employees are more likely to attract employee allegiance and have them with the business for longer.

3. Employee Engagement

Upskilling is also a great way to engage employees and ensure that they are more motivated to give their best at work. Companies believe that businesses should maximize their human capital by providing "the right skills at the right time for the right people". In its report, titled The Value of Training, 84% of employees in the best performing organisations are receiving the training they need, compared with 16% in the worst performing companies.

Upskilling For Engagement And Retention

The UK body repair industry’s greatest threat is the current skills crisis, according to a survey that was conducted by Auto Body Projects/Trend Tracker for the recently published ‘Future of the UK Car Body Repair Market 2019-2024’ report.

The warning is stark as bodyshop owners look to invest more heavily as modern motor vehicles become ever-more complex to repair. The increasing number of hi-specification cars, those with advanced driver-assistance systems [ADAS], safety and electronic systems and complex hybrid or electric powertrains require technicians to be trained to a highly skilled level to ensure repairs are carried out to specified methods.
